Yep that's my thinking as well. Rather than simply playing something standard that every player in the squad will have played since the youth systems, he wants to show how clever he is with, er, Koeman's formation and Koeman style picks.

Only relief is he will now be bombed out.

It’s beyond me why he hasn’t been sensible and gone back to basics, any manager worth their salt would. Bin him back to the youth set up.
