I love Davies. I really, really do. But it's abundantly clear that swapping him in for Gana has hurt our midfield immensely.

Just don't feel comfortable with Schneiderlin in there at all. He doesn't lose it and his touch is good, but he doesn't dictate the play or tempo. He's just a cog when we need an engine.

Yeah this. He didn’t have a bad game. But he was just anonymous.

All in all, despite second half struggles the offense looked potent, and the defense looked poor, with the midfield inbetween. I think one top CB makes a world of difference with Pickford also coming back, and Digne back in. The first goal Digne would have stopped, the second goal a decent CB would have, the third goal Pickford would have.
