I won’t go into the details of the incident as everyone knows what happened and at the end of the day we can’t change the decision but surely today’s officials should be sanctioned in some way for their incompetence. Everything was wrong, not giving a pen, not playing on and then the bizarre restart. It beggars belief
Also Rhico got back on his feet with a wide open goal to chip the ball into a net with Spurs players running towards it - that pen decision stopped play !

Didn't demarai get chopped down in the box earlier in the game? He may have already been going to ground but it didn't get a mention from the commentators or a replay even at half time on the American broadcast. Would have like to have seen that again. Richy needed treatment shortly after and no replay even then. Thought it was interesting Allan was playing higher up the pitch...thought it helped us press better than usual.

Thought we put in the required effort today and that alone made us difficult to break down . Holgate would have probably cost us the game had he stayed on because he was fluffing possession every time.

Brilliant result considering that we are still without our best centre-half, our best midfielder and our only centre-forward. We were also robbed by the officials.

To be honest I was expecting us to get hammered because Spurs will be buoyant given that they’ve just appointed arguably the best manager in world football. They’ve also got probably the best striker in Premier League history in Harry Kane - he will almost certainly surpass Alan Shearer in terms of Premier League goals scored.

He's 28 and has got 94 more goals to go to surpass Shearer. If he does surpass him I think he'll just about scrape it.

Good effort and deserved result. Neither deserved to win. We could play for 3 hours and never score. Did well to restrict their strike force.Praise for packed Spurs end, proper fans. Why Holgate sub? Awful player.

Then after stopping play with us in possession he gives the ball to Lloris to restart play..

Can’t believe we’ve only beaten Tottenham at Goodison 5 times since the 1980s. Abysmal record.

Delighted with today’s result, though, given that we’re still missing three or four of our best players.

Take away the RS’ best defender, their best midfielder and their main goal scorer and they would probably struggle against the likes of Spurs. Or West Ham… ?
