Hi mate, I believe we are still waiting for the evidence of this bet? I realise you are not contractually obliged to provide it but what sort of person wouldn't take the opportunity to get some money donated to a very worthy cause?

Let's see a screenshot eh?

Hahaha well in NHD

Milkshock chatting waffle and being called out on it

Sunderland fan here. As I have posted the Sunderland Message Board, I've always liked Everton for some reason and glad to see you's doing so well this year under RM. However, after seeing this thread and the comments leading upto the match a lot of you are getting above your station just a little. So have that ya bastards! (y) (I know we are going down)

You played 10 men for most of yesterday. Context is everything.

Appreciate you joining up and posting to let us know you're getting relegated mate, slightly odd, but appreciated nonetheless.

You don't need strength my lad. You need wisdom.

By no stretch of the imagination did we "completely outplay" Sunderland. Had we done so, we would have won. We won the possession and we took 26 shots, but the stats don't tell the whole story - why did we have more possession and more shots? Because they parked the bus once they were ahead, daring us to have a go at them and risk being hit on the counter. We didn't take the risk and instead restricted ourselves to long shots from outside the area. We failed to break down the bottom team in the division. It's that simple.

Pienaar has been pretty good (not brilliant) most of the season, but was poor yesterday. Martinez saw fit to sub him, so maybe I'm closer to being right than you are on that point. Mirallas has been hot and cold all season - I'm still waiting to see the same Mirallas who was tearing the RS a new one in the derby last year prior to Suarez stamping on him. We are simply not giving Lukaku any quality ball - he was out on the right wing several times in the second half ffs - and Pienaar and Mirallas are two people who I expect to be providing that quality ball but they aren't doing it, and haven't done for several games. Be it a loss of form or simple fatigue, they need someone else sharing the load - that's why Deulofeu was loaned in the first place.

How many times did McCarthy burst forward into the box yesterday? How many shots did he have? He covered a lot of ground, yes, but what creativity, guile or offensive threat did he provide? We NEEDED someone other than Barkley and our fullbacks to step up yesterday, to provide an alternative means of attack: no-one did.

Donovan has proved that he can play prem-level football, and is likely available on a cheap loan for long enough to cover until Deulofeu returns. If Deulofeu was fit, I'd not be asking for Donovan; if we had squillions in the bank to sign a marquee player, I'd not be asking for Donovan. If we had a sub who was as good as him or better, I'd not be asking for Donovan. However we are pi$$-poor, our squad depth out wide is Naismith and then nothing, and we just lost to the bottom-placed team in the league. Having the highest-scoring defender in the prem isn't making all those problems go away.

Having a brain and using it is not "knee-jerking" pal. We need a couple of starter-quality additions to maintain our position, because we cannot handle even two or three injuries and suspensions with a squad as thin as we currently have. The proof of that is yesterday's loss.

Calling people 'lad' and saying they need a brain. Oh dear ! Signs of a deep seated real life inferiority complex there.Look at the stats. Look at th reports. Of course a couple of additions would be nice in January , no one has ever said it wouldn't be handy. But castigating players who have played well all season after a defeat which is only the second in 17 games reeks of a massive knee jerk.Even if, and its a big if, we go on a poor mini run, thats something that most teams have to endure in a season.Just relax and enjoy the season unfold. Wish I WAS a lad!

As I said I like Everton, always have for some odd reason, always seem like good fans, good gates, etc. Absolutely buzzing with the result, beating Everton twice in the same calendar year doesnt happen very often! Hope you's still make top 4 but like I said some of your fans just getting ahead of themselves a little, take nothing for granted in this league.

We're Everton mate and aren't used to doing optimism so we havn't quite got it right yet. Give us time and we'll manage to be slightly condescending. Hopefully we'll batter you in April and erase the memory of yesterday's result.

Likewise with us! Bottom half PL finishes are the norm, you are the toughest game we have left at home after the awful run we have had so far so as long as we beat all the rubbish above us that comes to the SOL in 2014 I dont mind the one defeat to yous!

Never said you needed a brain. I was replying to your allegation of knee-jerking by referring to ME having a brain and using it, which is how I digest what I watched yesterday and draw opinions from it. I was castigating players who played poorly yesterday, which is not related to whether they have played well the rest of the season or not... but well done for ignoring those points (and those about Donovan, the stats from the game put in context and the poor supply to Lukaku) in favour of being upset by the word "lad".

We have no pace apart from Coleman and Oviedo. that needs to change.

Only game I seen Mirallas run quite quick was vs Stoke for his solo goal

i've seen a thread on your pure football forum before the game were your fans were predicting 6 7 8 and double figure defeats for your team, then they take offense to a few on here saying the same thing, i think you must be a crowd of simpletons after that.

The only good thing to come out of the game was the popping of two bubbles : a complacency one (by players) and a hubris one (by us fans).
The Soton game attains VERY significant status now. I am (of course) hopeful for a win, but certainly not confident.
If the Goodison fans and our players feel the same anxiety, our chances improve...but that is all.
