Same here. I used to go and watch them when I was at University in the north east in the early 80s. Always a bit dangerous crossing that bridge on the way to Roker Park, like.

Proper club with shyte neighbours
Don't care much for Poyet though, something about him as a person, seems sneaky
He'll have them playing better stuff though, it's a bit too early for a visit to Goodison and we'll grind them out if the game, 3-1 Everton

I think they'll get better in the 2nd half of the season

Great read again, Azul.

Would, personally, be very happy with a scrappy 1-0. They'll give it a fair crack and they're a prem team. We've been really excellent this year, but I just want to be above the sh*te as they go into that City game.

If there was ever a game we might utterly violate someone though, it's today. Rammed Goodison, fully fit first XI, in great form, Sunderland with a few injury problems, great atmosphere about the club...

Could really be a dreamy boxing day if a few results go our way.

Sunderland need the pionts desprate to get anything to close the gap at the bottom, dont think it will be a pretty game to watch , could be a lot harder game than people think and its a bit wierd everton fans suddenly getting cocky about beating other teams dosnt seem to be right, normally oh its a year at home unbeaten were bound to get beat today.

Some funny stuff on http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/everton-its-a-grand-old-team.852777/

I actually don't mind Sunderland compared to Newcastle, despise Pardew and those Geordie pricks. Hope we still smash these tomorrow with our sexy football. If we get an early goal it could be a riot, if not a hard fought 2-0 win.

Wow some of this lot aren't too happy. I think they're confusing our joke 8-0 to Everton predictions with arrogance which is a shame, I rather like the mackems.

Very much this

Hate it when we get cocky as there is a fall around the corner

This. Very unbecoming of us blues.

"I'd ****ing love a 0-1 win. BBC, Sky Sports and all the Everton love in parade would be scratching their big fat heads."

This guy needs to check out the anti-journalist thread we've got on here lol.

Christmas is over, now for the important stuff.

2-0 Everton. Not as easy as it would have been a couple of months ago. Just keep the togger on the deck and free flowing and i'm a happy camper.

i'd take 1-0 right now, these are not a bottom of the league team in my eyes, they've been a bit unlucky as they seem to get someone sent off almost every game, maybe that's not unlucky but i think they will end up about 13th 14th.

Think it'll be a tight game today, but with the winning mentality that Roberto seems to have brought to the team, we'll win 2-1.

Then we can relax with a few beers and enjoy Citeh win 3-0. :D
