bring Rom and Jela on when we're 3-0 up with 30mins to go to both get some confidence back,
Everton 5-0.

need 2 goals before half time.....then bring baines and stones on.....

Some funny stuff on http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/everton-its-a-grand-old-team.852777/

I actually don't mind Sunderland compared to Newcastle, despise Pardew and those Geordie pricks. Hope we still smash these tomorrow with our sexy football. If we get an early goal it could be a riot, if not a hard fought 2-0 win.

To be fair, most of them agree that we'll beat them by a few goals. The ones that seem angry, don't disagree, they just don't like us saying it.

I can understand where they are comin from, there are a few outlandish predictions on this thread. We are right to expect 3 points but we have seen dark times as well, if we saw opposing fans predicting 7-0 score lines would we not think they we're arrogant? No matter how poor our own side were we would be fuming.

The premier league is littered with examples of upsets when team are complacent and expect rather than earn 3 points. I just hope the 11 on the pitch approach the game the same way we did against the RS otherwise a lot of great work could be undone.

...Boxing Day invariably throws up the odd strange result, need to get into Saturday afternoon mode and we should be ok. They will have fervent support behind them so need to win the battle and let quality show. Difficult one this, but they all are really.

Anyone thinking we are going to simply turn up and win need there heads testing,They may be going through a bad patch but looking at there last 5-6 they have not been tonked by anyone and most of the games have looked close

Lets hope we don't cock this up today,Massive 3-4 games over Dec-Jan

I kinda like Sland, not today like,
Just want the win, I reckon we'll win 3-1
Then I'd wish Sland the best for the remainder (except when we play them in April) and hope they stay up.

We should win, but as someone once said 'Fooball is a funny old game'. This could be an opportunity to improve our goal difference, which might be critical at the end of the season if the league stays as tight as it is.

Same here. I used to go and watch them when I was at University in the north east in the early 80s. Always a bit dangerous crossing that bridge on the way to Roker Park, like.

A win by 4 goals should put us above Chelsea and, if West Ham somehow manage not to lose to Arsenal, we could well be top before City take on the RS. Then we can all sit back and cheer on City!

I can understand the Sunderland fans getting upset at this thread but they should understand that we are not used to being this high Christmas and the altitude is getting to some of us! (and we're not all scousers either - some of us are just honourary ones)
