Stoke don't play normal football, there real hard to play but are up for it. Its like being a good poker player but playing against someone who has no idea, plays 2 7, pulls 3 7s on the flop, wins but has no idea how they did it.

Hope we see Kone get at least 45 minutes.

Not at all. If the team gives a reason for the crowd to think we've got any chance of getting something from the game then it'll be fine.

With the Stokie emphasis on high balls into the area, it would be to our benefit if Distin and Jags were benched for Stones and Alcaraz; the former two couldn't outjump Jimmy Krankie. Also, both The latter are better ball players, who lack the 'rabbit caught in headlights' syndrome. A more balanced side with right pegs in right holes, and Besic selected for his ability to compete with the more aggressive sides.
They have a true blue in their side who, although not blessed with an abundance of skill, more than makes up for it with his passion and desire; Jonathan Walters will cause Baines problems and if Barry is the CM expected to help nullify this threat, then we are, in Private Fraser's words, DOOMED

Was a strange game last year vs Sunderland - Howard getting red carded after Osman's dodgy back pass, Mirallas disappearing for 10 minutes mid game down the tunnel after an even dodgier lunch and Barkley coming on at half time to do everything right but get a goal.

Really want the 3 points but tbh would be happy if we just played some of the lovely football we've seen these players produce in the past.

I would like to see us play elegant, pacey, incisive togger. Unfortunately, Alan Ball, Colin Harvey and Trevor Steven are unavailable for selection so 3 points are required whatever / however we get them.
