................ This is why I did not want Rooney. The undroppable. Not necessarily mediocre, but no cutting edge whatsoever. He hits a good pass, and he can turn in an instant, but he provides no real threat on goal and offers none of the dynamism we need to shoehorn him into a triple attacking mid side.
