I've written this off now, tbh.

A draw will be the only thing we get out of this...at best.

I'm expecting more *gifts* from that Sunderland catastrophe as the Christmas period unfolds.

With the size of our squad we were bound to have a rough patch with injuries. We need to suck it up and roll up our sleves. Forget about about sexy football for the time and focus on doing whatever it takes to win. A 1-0 win from a dodgy penalty in the first minute followed by being outplayed and under the cosh for 89 minutes would do me nicely.

A new cb pairing against these lot is not ideal, but let's not write the game off yet. This is Southampton at home not Barcelona. We still have enough to beat these.

Tell you what i've noticed, not captain related like but Oviedo isn't scared to shout at players if they mess up. Didn't really think he was the type to do that but it's surprised me!

As far as seniority it will be Osman, Baines or Howard obviously (maybe Baines isn´t in the squad though?).

How do we make this unfolding disaster work now?

Robles
Stones Alcarez Distin
Coleman McCarthy Barkley Oviedo
Mirallas Lukaku Pienaar

^^^ as much likely to be a complete ****ing disaster as a workable formation.

*gives up*
