Poor performance this. Gomes offers nothing going forward. His instinct every time is to turn round and pass back. Doucoure has given the ball away almost every time and Aalan is totally off the pace. This has 1-1 written all over it

Southampton playing all the football, we look intent on banging it up top and invariably we dont keep it. 1-0 which you would take but performance is poles apart from what we seen in the derby. At times we make them look like prime Barcelona, if they get the next goal they will go on and win. We must get the next goal.....

I’m just not a fan of this system. Don’t think anybody has played badly, but it’s so sluggish unless both full-backs are bombing on.

Genuinely, a diamond can work in FIFA, and probably Das SPL. That’s about it
