Realistically it’s going to take at least two or three years for Carlo to turn us into title challengers. We’re even light years behind Man Utd and they’re nothing special, albeit they’ve spent almost a billion Pounds on transfer fees since Sir Alex retired. I do think, though, that we’d have performed better had Goodison been packed to the rafters. The fans are usually like a 12th man when we play the mancs. Let’s hope things get back to normal at some point this season.

We are not relegation fodder. A lot of our play was good, but two failures to stop a cross and no challenge from the CB’s done for us. Richarlison will bring that added cut and thrust again. Top 4-6 is still a sensible goal......
Guarentee you we will shore the defence up and lose our potency up front.....Everton that:(

Going to be having nightmares tonight of that horrible chipped ball from Keane to DCL, which United just hoovered up all afternoon.
Rinse and repeat.

Not hard to figure us out really.

Pass it round our back for a few mins, then get the ball to James, who then whips it over to the digne who crosses it in to DCL. When then doesn’t work we can’t score

This is a massively intuitive post. That is EFC in a nutshell. It just confirms the massive lack of quality and the huge job ahead to improve this this team

Finally, hours later, I gave it to Bernard.
Must be the red wine... solely because he did well early in the first half and scored our only goal but that said, was anonymous in the second half.
No one else did anything of note to even be considered...

I couldn't work out why all the pundits, apart from Don Hutchison haven't had Everton as a chance for top four, or even top 6 even when we were ripping
it up and top of the league. Maybe they're right.

Surely we can't be that bad just because we're without Richo. Well, we'll soon find out.

Looking for positive, we'll be only 3 points behind the best team in the world if City beat them tomorrow.

Thats how I look at it mate. The main thing is being in touching distance of the top 4.

We've had a real crappy run, let's hopefully try and change that starting with Fulham away after the break.

We are an inconsistent team and we massively overrate our players. Its boom.and bust for us really. 4 really solid games followed by 1 point from 12.

Pressure is a huge part of it too. These players can't hack any sort of expectation whatsoever and don't have the guts to dig out a result on a difficult day. None of then ever take responsibility to push the team forward.

We are a midtable team and that's the reality. Unfortunately the reality hurts and its pretty disheartening that we still are so far off where we want to be. Until we find ways to respond to setbacks and to cope with high expectations, we are going nowhere.

6th would be great this year and should have been attainable but can we seriously trust these players to do the business? Losing doesnt matter to them. Too many are here for money and winning is an afterthought.

Annoying day today as we had chances but just weren't good enough. International break probably come at a good time as our form dipped after the last one. Hopefully it has the opposite effect on us. Guess this means Villa will lose tomorrow as well then #CazooVooDoo

A team aiming for top 4 surely gets a minimum 6 points from the last 3 games.

I think the last 3 games have actually finished me off. Without being able to get to the ground the only positive I had was us doing well but now we have shown even with Ancelotti and the new signings we are still same old Everton I've actually had enough.

Going to watch the cup games as they are a lottery but think I'll be doing something else with my weekends now even in lockdown.

Same old cycle and its gotten to the point where its become sheer predictable boring. I dont mind watching us be crap but atleast be crap enough to have excitement like relegation great escapes - we are just literally mid table boring with the season over by Xmas every year knowing any chance we can win and move somewhere in the table we slip up.

With the boredom of normal life at the minute, I'm finding that I'm getting way too involved in how we do at the weekend. Its not even that healthy. Watching us every week has its pros and cons.

I'll be back in 2 weeks as always but its depressing how predictable this has been. That little bit of hope comes back but then it's crushed and gone. That's football but its also VERY Everton.
