The penalty call you can freely disagree with, but the decision as made was a completely reasonable one and screaming corruption on something like that is really self defeating.

The ref isn’t changing his mind because of City players he’s asking his assistant which is imo pretty easy to see if you watch the video.

It sucks, there are maybe some days we get away with it, but today we didn’t. Move on.
1rule for 1 and a different rule for others there’s no excuse it’s just blatant

Zero consistency

We don't get those, big sides do.

Since when have linesman had the confidence to call handball in the last 6 years? First I've seen since then.

If that as a non penalty goes to var it shouldn't be overturned

Annoyingly the handball rule has actually changed since then. But no one knows what it’s changed too. They probably wouldn’t even apologise for that one any more as he wasn’t blocking a shot and it took a slightly distracting spinny bounce. Probably apologise to Rodri.

Agree with this. Lot of people complaining about the pen, but I don't think it was that bad a decision really. He did block a shot with his arm, and we'd be sick if we didn't get the decision at the other end.
I feel like the handball rule is mess anyway. Easier just to assume everything that hits your arm is handball. All the stuff about unnatural arm positions is just way too subjective for me

It’s only reasonable if there is consistency. Those point blank shots onto hands/arms are almost never given these days. When they are given it’s because there’s a hand so outstretched it can be considered unnatural…It’s not a penalty this year in other circumstances so of course folks are going to look at who it’s given to and who it’s given against when something unusual or against the grain is called.

Foden's strike was fantastic and would've gone in against anyone.

The pen was a sham that should never have been given.

Silva's was a great opportunistic goal based on Pickford allowing himself to be harried out of position and into passing a poor pass.

That last one is the only City goal that we might've prevented, so I'm taking the positives rather than the negatives from this game.
I think this is a fair summary - though I wish (beto I think,,) closed him down by putting pressure on him.

The lads are putting in serious effort which wasn't there every game in previous years so difficult to be critical of them.

Penalties at this stage are beyond a joke how the linesman saw it is beyond me.

Oh and I hate the gee bag jack grealish!!

We had a spell in the first half, where we got a goal and could’ve pushed on.

But on balance, I thought we gave it a decent crack.

For a team who'd won 1 in 6 in the league together with missing a couple of star players I thought we would've done more. Probably a unfair expectation because our recent run of form has been above where we are actually at right now.
