Can't risk Allan or DCL, save them for the Derby. Doesn't matter about pace in the midfield for this game, as the midfield will be about 2 yards in front of the back 4. Hoof it up the channels for Iwobi and King when we got the chance.
Swap king and richarlison. King hold up play surely better than rich

This is the re arranged covid game right? Is there a date forthe Villa one? Just wonder when both our games in hand are

One thing is for certain, the defensive wall HAS to start, even if it means pushing Lucas up.
This is going to be a backs to the wall horror show.

These lot don't play strikers so no need to overload the defence, who would be marking no-one, or we'll get overloaded in the midfield ourselves. They also like their wingers to stay high and wide and for their full backs to step into midfield in a weird kind of 3-3-4-0

Go for the fluid 4-4-2/4-4-3/4-5-1 and try and get in behind the space left by their full-backs... then have a straight heading match between DCL and Stones/Dias in the middle.

Strangely I think our preferred style of play suits attacking this City outfit and am unnervingly going for a 2-0 Toffees cantenaccio counter attacking masterclass.

Let's go!

Cant leave Keane out, he’s the only one who can hit the forwards when we are being pressed in the middle. Think that was part of the problem against Fulham & Newcastle.

For the same reason I would pick Pickford as well if available. Hitting it long maybe the only relief we get.

unlikely to win but we really do need a league win and soon to have any sort of chance for Europa

8 points out of 21 taken since new year with real gut wrenching defeats by West Ham, Newcastle and now Fulham.

We really could have been sitting very pretty in the table. Scored 0 and conceded 5 against that lot.

Crazy season, great chance for a team like us to seize the opportunity and we've blown it about 3/4 times already.

Just to hang in there without letting teams get too far ahead we are going to need to win one of Wednesday and Saturdays matches or at the very worst not lose them

All signs point to this being ninety minutes of methodical torture for us with Man City knocking the ball about freely and seemingly scoring at will. Haven't made my mind up on whether to watch the game or just squat down in a dark room for an hour and a half with my testicles soaking in a pint glass of Domestos; not sure which one will be the worse experience.
