City were shocking defensively today. Another other team with a proper centre forward on the pitch would have at least had it level on a number of occasions. I always felt like they would still win it though in the second half.

Still another result with no points. Standard Marco Silva Everton.
Or pass it round the back for several hospital balls and then lump it forward like what we do now is BETTER?

Like I said I thought City were quite poor, but when you have a midfield that dont actually get involved then they will always create,in the 1st half were for 25 minutes we matched them Schniderlin touched the ball 4 times

It’s all very well these players showing up for big games, but these aren’t the games that matter as we’re unlikely to win.

We are failing to turn up for the winnable ones, which is much more costly for us.

....feared it might be worst, City are going to open-up the best defences and ours is far from that but we hung in there and created a number of situations and chances.

Coleman MoM for me. I thought Richarlison put in a real shift, actually looked more effective on the right. Schneiderlin did ok, I saw one terrific block just before he got brought off.

I don’t trust Pickford, never have but I accept i’m an old fella and goalies these days seem to get more praise for picking somebody out on the half-way line. Unless he was injured, Iwobi shouldn’t have been subbed, that was humiliating.

DCL is our most effective striker. I’m sorry, but Kean disappoints me more every time I see him. I so much want him to be good, we so need him to be good. I can honestly see Anthony Gordon being involved before Christmas.

Worst case scenario when we play short is that it goes back to Pickford and he lashes it up the field. Usually to a man, and again his kicking was brilliant today. I'm sure you disagree.
But it's so obvious at times that it going to have tongs back to him so just lash it up field. There's a time and a place to play out and some times he just asking for trouble

But even that short pass leads to there players pushing up 10 yards to press which leaves the forwards more isolated with the defenders or more room in behind. Sure if it is done haphazardly then it is dangerous but I dont think there was any point at that match that I was worried either Keane or Mina were gonna lose it as a result of the short ball. As I say worst case scenario it goes back to JP and he launches it.
