Odd point but 2 of our 3 goals against Utd this season been scored by our left backs !
 
Man U gave a very good account of themselves in the first half and were very unlucky to be 2 down.

2nd half we really did pound them on the counter.

Can't say I enjoyed the vindictive sing-song. Really felt like a kicking a man when he's down, but there we are. We march on.

Can't act the way he has since leaving and not expect abuse. Complete lack of respect shown from him to both EFC and the EFC supporters. Shouldn't feel sorry for him.
 
Thought before the game it would be ironic if baines scored against them, after moyes' attempts to get him last summer. Naturally delighted special mention to Coleman most improved player in the whole league this season. Also McCarthy, keane was in the crowd watching him today, I can't give him any higher praise then today then his performance reminded me of a young Roy keane. We definitely would not have lost on Wednesday had he played.

give me the total fees spent on their starting XI and 7 subs and tell me that they gave a good account of themselves. they had 1 shot which was blocked. nothing even crossed our goaline.

Well, they're the only team to pen us that far back for that long at Goodison all season.

Roberto had an answer to that though, which was pleasing.
 
Moyes deserved everything he got. Regardless of what happens, this team we're watching is CL worthy. I really hope a bounce goes our way down the stretch.

it was our gameplan to let them do that. they have the best away record in the league playing on the counter attack, but have struggled at home when they've had to attack teams and have to break them down. martinez knew this so set us up like the away side and they couldn't open us up at all. the closest they came was barry's header. we bossed the first half in the same way chelsea bossed their win at the etihad.

Actually I think Roberto ceded the possession, confident in the fact he lined the team out in such a way that they couldn't hurt us and at the same time left themselves open to devastating counter attacks.

For all their possession they never looked like scoring until near the end.
