I actually think its worthy of a psychological study the effect of what being a fan of Everton v rs contributes to a person's personality.

I believe the simple way to put it is mass delusion.

Can’t blame some of them, it’s literally all they’ve been fed by a sports media for their entire lives, they’re bound to believe at least some of it, considering it’s never been challenged.

Like there are genuine discussions by leading media figures and all that who’ll say mad things like Klopp is the PL’s greatest manager, Gerrard is the greatest midfielder and that team they won the COVID league with is the greatest, despite all being easily disproven by far better peers at the time, nevermind historically.
