BT Sport not letting this go, furiously demanding red cards while claiming they don't like to see players sent off.
Pickford ran out with the sole intention of kicking the ball into row Z. Van Dyke ran in trying to get to the ball and create a scoring chance. They weren't trying to
injure each other and Pickford could easily have been the one to come off worse. Perhaps neither would have been hurt and the ball would have gone out
for a throw in or a corner.

Only because pre game many(not all) everton fans seemed convinced that this would be an easy victory...for various reasons...playing well, villa, carlo at Napoli....just remember, 3 points behind flying everton having played chelsea, gunners and you lot. Who've you played bar today? Spurs?...

Same Chelsea Southampton just took point off, oh and West Brom

You’ve been beaten by Villa and dropped points against crappy little Everton

For the first time in about 10 years I look back on a derby without feeling sick in my stomach. It wasn't a good game of football and there's still lots of room for improvement. But after a shaky start that very much carried the feeling of 'same old same old', our players finally at long last stood up to them and showed them the middle finger and matched them blow for blow.

Lots of incidents on either side and although I don't wish serious injury on any player (well might make an exception for Suarez), if it was to happen to anyone, then we certainly took out the right candidate. Nothing made of his 2 challenges on James and DCL from the kick off.

Media once again showed their true colours and (not even hidden anymore) agenda.

Also absolute joy to see kopites worldwide going into complete meltdown, because for once in the history of Premier League football, the decisions didn't go 100% in their way.

Well time to move on. This derby is in the past, lets concentrate on our next opponents. Finally have that sense that we're moving in the right direction. Took a hefty detour to get there, but finally looks like we have a base to build upon.

Made up Pickford didn’t get sent off yesterday but that rule is a joke.

Its basically prison rules after the initial offence.

There was no intent it was just a gimp crap keeper tackle. After the offside you can only book it as, I for get the word for when you got someone off the ball like a bunch or kick but it wasn’t that so they can’t book him.

Already moved on from this game. Team had little time to prepare, a lot of them not long been back from South America. We weren’t at our best, we didn’t lose, still unbeaten despite them playing their best team and it being their cup final, improvements can be made against Southampton which I know Ancelotti will be working on this week now he has time to set them up properly. Onwards and upwards.

Maybe improvements but we were up against a world class team pressing like their life’s depended on it. they had to respond to that 7-2. We won’t get a harder game than that all season. It’s as you where for me. Keep doing what we are doing and outclass Southampton.

Should anything come from all this nonsense that the rs are now trying to do. Then every team in the league should bombard the powers that be with complaints concerning every little dodgy VAR decision from now to eternity.
Including us..........especially us.
The rs get any of yesterday's decisions overturned. Then potentially in the future every dodgy decision could be overturned. A predecent would have been set.
Or is it only the rs that can complain.......moan.......cry........boo hoo.....

We should now complain about everything. Starting with those few bad tackles on our players yesterday. Also give out a statement concerning the ever so biased media. State that comments from the likes of Alan Shearer and others are a disgrace. And damaging to the game. @@## them.

Last comment.........the powers that be should now tell Liverpool to do one. Point out that RS players will also be retrospectively banned if action be taken against Everton.
So everything stands. It's a 2-2 draw. It's a point each. And Pickford plays next week (don't know if that's a plus or a minus tbh ).
And we all move on. Up The Toffees.........Don Carlos almost ...but not quite Dogs of War Toffees.
Ps.........Rant over......

Maybe if VVD timed his run properly the situation would have been different.
