I don't think the offside is lucky. It's the rules. I'm not even sure it's a stupid rule. The more I think about it, leaving decisions open to interpretation will result in inconsistency (or certain teams getting decisions while others don't). At least with this, offside is offside.

The fact Henderson was offside is irrelevant, Pickford doesn’t know that and fluffs his lines as is so common.
Yes he should have been sent off for the Van Dijk incident, he flew into him and scissored through him. The fact he’s offside is also irrelevant, just means it can’t be a pen.
