Regarding Naismith, you are. He was crap again yesterday as he has been for the past 4 months. It's not his fault he's gash, it's the manager who's to blame for trying to make him a key player
Until the manager buy's a striker that can offer an aerial challenge Naismith will always be a key player.

What makes me genuinely sad is the fact that a large number of Evertonians would consider a draw a good result in the derby. If you offer them a draw before the game they'd take it. We are always nervous in these derbies cos we haven't got the confidence to win them, we've forgotten how to win them.

That lack of derby confidence and composure is very evident in the way we approach them. Always cautious, misplaced passes, and reacting to a goal. Hasn't that been the trend for quiet some time? These derbies are our Superbowl, World Cup and WrestleMania combined. If we can't even win them then what's the point. Its 2015 now and do we want in 4 years time to recall that the last time we won at Anfield was in 1999? Are they really that good that we can't beat them for 15 years? Hell, Aston Villa could and how gash are they? We make them look like the old Ajax or the Barca of 2000s or the modern Real Madrid. We've made Gerrard look like Zidane.

Enough is enough!

I think this was mainly in context about how awful our Christmas was. And the fact that we have seen some improvement of late, so avoiding a defeat on Saturday was extremely important, irrespective of who we played really.

Once (If?) we get last seasons swagger and confidence back, pretty sure the mood music will shift.

Thats great and everything but the derby was yesterday.

Form goes out of the window for the derbies, at least that's the clichè. With the players we've got we should always look to win them cos its that simple. Not trying to win a derby is cynical. You can make up the form steadily over 5 games or with 1 derby win. That's the attitude we (including fans) should have; A draw in derbies (esp at home) is second best. NSNO!

Lighten up fella , they took 4 points from us (and a good thrashing at anfield) this season its 2.
In our current predicament thats a major plus. When we are back firing on all cylinders we'll av em.

With winning 2 games in 15 or 16 a point is ok.
But with this squad we should have had a go.
Having 8 players in our own half most of the game would be ok away at chelsea but at home to the scum we should have gone after them.

Would agree 99 times out of 100 mate. But these last few games, including the FA Cup ones with West Ham, have been crucial following the shambles over Christmas. Something was very, very wrong a few weeks back, and getting the club back to something looking like a decent side was paramount imo. Just a shame the derby was this week, not in 4 or 5 weeks time.

before the Palace game, most people were optimistically looking for 4 points out of the next three (Palace, Them... and Chelsea) We've got the 4 point with the Chelsea game in hand, if we can get something out of Chelsea then that would be a good run of results.

it was exactly the same tactics at the pit this season, so you just have to assume that martinez has given up hope of trying to win a game against them after the humiliating 4-0. Cowardly.

they didnt have a bloody striker on the pitch for most of the game and people are happy we played for the point ffs
