.....I played at Enderby Town once, I think that's in Leicester. I should add that I did score - never miss an opportunity.

Quite remarkable how we have this every season from fans who you never normally here off but by god a few wins and a excellent run and they are kings of football weird, hi Brian swan x

I think it is all a failure to appreciate perspective. For example, east midlanders do not tend to be able to look to far beyond a single generation, particular on the awkward subject of inter-filial relationships and the 'cousin luzzin'. That's why clubs like them and Palace see us since 1992 and think 'oh right we are comparable' (despite of course us winning the Cup in this period and being in Europe on a number of occasions). They fail to see the bigger picture.

I have to say I've heard and seen so many manglings of the word Leicester, if nothing else that suggests footballing obscurity and a societal compulsion in Leicester to get with anything that moves, fowl fauna or family. Freud has nightmares about Leicester.

I'm really surprised at the lack of respect being shown to Leicester in this thread. I thought we'd be one of the more likeable teams in the league.
I'd expect it from the elitist clubs like United and Man City but not you lot. If it wasn't us I'd be rooting for a team of our stature to break into the top 4 if they made a start like ours

I think we can treat the next 2 or 3 games as bonus points after getting 7 from United, Swansea and Chelsea. If Arsenal and Man City draw we're top for Christmas regardless of our result

Thing is, even if we generally dont mind/like Leicester, it is a match thread. A more accurate reflection might be shown in the Leicester thread.

Mate you're sound but some of your compatriots are a bit above their station, I'd say the lack of respect is the other way round, coming on our forum and acting all high and mighty

come back after the game and we will be rooting for you lot to do well,
but its a sort of tradition on here to rip everybody the week before the game, pop on here when we play Newcastle, Villa , RS, and you will see proper lack of respect in full flow.

I think the majority on here would love to see Leicester win the league, provided we weren't going to. Shoving it up hte media darlings.

However, the week of a game, against anyone is duck hunting season. Nothing like ripping the team/town and inhabitants of a City to wind them up that week. This was actually very complimentary compared to other Mr Azul has done.

Have to admit though, as a place noone knows/cares where Leicester is or who comes from there haha. Type that do a fake scouse accent and a calm down when they meet you, but loose the irony in that they are from a place of obscurity and meh....

Tbh mate Leicesters fans are going very kopite like atm, acting high and mighty on boards of other clubs and acting like every club should want you to "win der leegue". Your doing very well atm but most of us on here have seen us win league titles and trophies/play in Europe (granted not alot these last 2 decades) we've been in the top 6/7 for most seasons. It gets my back up when you have one of the new boys (Southampton, Swansea, stoke, yourselves) have a good season or 2 then expect us to cheer lead you on as we are now seemingly inferior.

Good luck for the rest of the season after tomorrow but I couldn't care who outside of everton does what. I do think you'll end up around 6/7th come the end of the season.

I'm sure you've been in here enough time to know now that Chico's match report was easily one of the kindest this season and really the only negative comments have been directed at people who have come on here wound up by it. I've seen you post a lot and haven't had any problem with any of your views, you're just loving the moment and hoping it continues as we would be in your shoes. Anyone who comes into an Everton forum and is disappointed we don't view you as genuine title contenders is a bit deluded though. It's an Everton forum. This time last year you guys were rock bottom and then you had an incredible second half of the season, time will tell whether you can keep up this seasons first half form, best of luck except when we play you and double luck when you play the RS!

I've seen you post a lot and haven't had any problem with any of your views, you're just loving the moment and hoping it continues as we would be in your shoes. Anyone who comes into an Everton forum and is disappointed we don't view you as genuine title contenders is a bit deluded though. It's an Everton forum. It wasn't Chico's post that I was surprised by. I know how Chico's previews work and I find all of them really funny, including the Leicester ones. Can't speak for all Leicester fans but the majority of us still have our feet firmly on the ground. 6th place would be a phenomenal achievement for a club like us and I feel we could do that now.
Saturday is our 2nd biggest test of the season behind the Arsenal game imo. Really rate Everton's attacking options
