Zaha earned it well by leaving his leg in unnaturally to be clipped. Proper manufacturing of contact but that's the game now, those are usually given. Just the lack of consistency is the problem when he doesn't give the one on Richarlison.

I can see exactly why though Zaha does sometimes not get the proper stonewall fouls. And it's his own fault tbh. He's constantly looking for opportunities to engineer contact and he proper milks it. Love him on my team mind you.
No thanks, you can't win games on manufactured free-kicks and he will get found out eventually (probably on his debut game for EFC!!)

He did work hard Dave.

It just wasn't working for him - i.e. clicking. But he saw plenty of the ball. Walcott was crap in the first half but came good in the second.

The change was right though

@Khalekan - Walcott did indeed come into it, but Lookman at that time was the right player to bring on. He prefers to run with the ball - Walcott is all about movement off the ball, which is why, tbf, he probably had an ineffective game (there was no space in behind to run into).

Although there was no goals while Bernard and Walcott were on the pitch their contribution was large in the sense that for 60+ minutes together with richarlison, they gave the Palace defence the run around and credit to Silva because with a tired opposition defence he made three subs that were going to much more direct in attack. and he made those subs in enough time for them to make an impact.

He let us off very early by not sending off Richarlison for his clip on Sakho. I guarantee you that many refs would have pulled a straight red card out for that.

The Palace pen he got spot on, and the Richarlison one was too soft to give. He had a good game. No one involved in that match or the dugouts were complaining about him. That speaks volumes.
I cannot agree with any of your points there sorry. His clip on Sakho? He wasn't even looking at the man when he went up in a fair challenge for the ball, so red card? Never in a million years. The Palace penalty was marginal at best and could have been a yellow for Zaha for simulation. And Tomkins pulling Richarlison down in the area? We've seen penalties given for less before now. So really you're just trying to play ref's best mate for some reason. Any brown envelope involved? o_O

What's he watching Sakho for? He should have eyes on the flight of the ball.
What are you talking about? Any player should be looking for what the opposing players are doing as well as the ball. You don't think that Sakho (that oh so graceful player lollol) wasn't looking at what Richarlison was doing before jumping up arms akimbo himself?

Between DCL goal and Tosun goal is 38 seconds. Last time I remember 2 goals close together was when we beat Spurs with Pienaar and Jelavic and I also remember beating Birmingham where Carsley scored late

Can't remember many late double strikes as close as today's time wise

As you know well davek , your earlier point about Rico looking behind , before elbowing , is absolute boll**cks .
What is your agenda mate ?

No one will ever really know the answer to this apart from Davek. My best guess is to be as negative as possible to wind others up - a WUM in other words... and I’m pretty sure he does not go to the game.

Disagree no contact no intent happens most of the time - bad ref to let the game go on to see if Palace could score then stop play for head injuries - two pens one given one not - who cares we won - but crap referee.....

Keane and Gana were absolutely immense that second half. Picking Keane because Gana wins all the time. Also, how class was that ball by Lookman for DCLs header and that first touch by Cenk for the goal. I take it this is wha “spreading the goals around” is supposed to look like.
