Lets see how long you're impressed with no shots on target and parking the bus at home for... previous managers would have been slated for that by a lot of posters.

How long will the steadying of the ship period be i wonder and when will the "let's start playing football" start.

Let's be honest a defensive 0-0 to Chelsea is better than a blood and thunder 0-1 defeat I guess.
I would guess January when Sam can try to get a few attacking players in, I've seen loads of comments regarding LB, CB cover, I'm happy who we have there for the rest of the season. I just want a decent winger/attacking midfielder and striker. Mahrez and Vardy please (I KNOW IM IN DREAMLAND) But Bolasie might do as the winger.

Probably both teams will walk away happy with a draw in the end - Chelsea will think they could have got more but I'm not sure they did enough to get the victory. The substitutions Conte made were very negative, when if he'd been a little braver they would have had those opportunities to score.

Haha, oh ossie.

The three subs he brought on: Fabregas, Batshuayi, Zappacosta.
The four subs he left on the bench: Caballero, Cahill, Drinkwater and Hudson-Odoi

A great point and a very, very good defensive performance.

Allardyce looks to have got us solid at the back which is precisely what he said his priority was...don't concede and you don't lose.

We now go into Christmas comfortably mid table and with a transfer window to come where hopefully we can bring some attacking threat in. The change in attitude of the players is apparent too, and that has to be down to the manager.

If you'd offered me this scenario a couple of months ago I'd have snatched your hand off. Extra helpings of Bisto on the Christmas dinner it is then.

Of course everyone expects us to transition in time to a flowing side with confidence, especially given the outlay, but given that little over a month ago we were going into games expecting to be dry humped by two or three goals regardless of the opposition then I really, really can't understand the moaning a month later when we extend an unbeaten run to 7 by keeping a clean sheet against the current champions.

He's doing ok, Baines would have gotten forward more but I'm not sure he's defending recently us as good as Martinas is at the moment.
i think you may find that as we are now defending better all through the midfield and defence, Baines will start to show again. When you watched him at the early part of the season he was getting caught out because we were giving the ball away or defending badly in the midfield and he was getting caught out of (a defensive) position and ahead of the play.
