yeah it was as clear as day that Bernard going off changed the game

think kean would have given them something to think about

but Carlo knows best

I think he went defensively mate because of the fear of knowing we simply can't kill teams off.

A top slotter up front today and that game finishes 4-0/5-0. Lukaku would have banged in a hattrick and its those misses that leave us absolutely hanging on by a thread for the 3 points.

Hanging on against Brighton at home, very lucky we didn't draw in those last 15mins.

Tbf I think Carlo made the Walcott/Coleman change too soon.

We were set up in a 4-3-3 when Delph first came on and had three players up top pressing.

Sidibe looked completely lost at right-mid. As he always does.

Thought we played well overall. Still can't put our chances away.let them come into the game last 15 minutes. Good performance. Please Tom think of game management . Gave the ball away twice and then they so nearly scored. Gets is closer to 40 points. COYB

Absolutely horrific horrific substitutions but a win is always welcome

I'm howling over here at the armchair managers.

Bernard just took another knock last week after a serious knee ligament injury so maybe he wasn't fit to see the game out. The commentators on the broadcast here said Digne was nursing a small injury. Walcott is Walcott.

Would you rather Carlo risk long-term injury to Digne and Bernard for a less nervy twenty minutes?

It by no means makes up for the shameful performance of last week, but it pulls us 8 points away from the relegation zone. Once we’ve established a gap, we will maybe see more incident performances.

Was lucky enough to watch all of that on an uncommonly amazing river! Did well today Everton. Dropped off at the end but we should have won by 2 but for another corrupt decision. A penalty does not get any clearer than that.
Bernard and Richarlison are players we can build around. Bernie especially, not just for his skill and creativity but for his work rate and effort.

Terrible at the end but there were a lot of factors to consider -- the weather was awful, every major refereeing decision went against us and we looked absolutely exhausted at the end.

We really need to be more clinical though. First half today and first half against the RS we should have been out of sight. It cost us dearly last weekend and could have cost us today.
