Very happy with the result, very happy with the performance in the main and I think there is still more to come once we get VDB and Alli in the side. Was Gomes performance like "Your not leaving me out!".

Feel strangely at ease tonight although its a shame we havent got 3 PL points from it, and reading the happy comments from others on here makes me happy to see this fanbase round behind a young hungry manager like Frank...

It was a good start. We'll need more creativity. Probably will need more in midfield against better sides. We won't be able to rely on set plays and the opposing keeper being shocking week in week out.

I think things can quickly get better if we focus on making better decisions in dangerous attacking positions.
 
I can only imagine the difference for the lads in the changing room today, and in training.

Going from being ‘famously’ criticised by a disgusting, fat, vile charisma vaccum, a genuinely odious and unredeemable human being. Someone who looks like they eat of a plate with their bare hands, a small and insignificant waste of space. The human equivalent of sewage, a revolting old baggy skinned carcass joke of man, to being encouraged and worked with by a model professional like Lampard, someone who’s done it all and who they all no doubt looked up to when they were kids.

They must be absolutely delighted
