tell me, how did Carlo's Chelsea team play?
What about his Milan side?
What about his Juve team, or his PSG team, or his Napoli or Real Madrid sides?
I'm not talking about a formation here. I'm talking about a style, a philosophy... Did any of those teams play in a remotely similar way? Like say, Pep - you know that his game is going to be about pressure, possession, movement. Klopp - pressing, counter-attacks etc.
He doesn't have one.
Again, I'll stress, that's no bad thing. It's actually a good thing in some circumstances. But ultimately, at other clubs (not Napoli, which is why it became an issue for them) he had the quality in certain games to be able to say "just play footy". We don't have that. But ultimately we have no default to fall back on either. We just get caught in between, and then injuries, and previous poor recruitment etc, extenuate that.
