Another positive was how good the 433 looked in the first half, baines looks more like his old self this season too

The only problem with 4-3-3 is it means Lukaku or Naismith plays on the wing and while Lukaku played very well especially considering his match fitness and injury I don't think a) it will work every game, b) do we really want to put our 28m striker out on the wing and c) would he want to be played there.

Naismith could play as one of the midfield 3 but then we're really playing a 4-2-3-1.

Naismith has been our best player in both games so that's a big positive with Barkley's injury.

The main reason we drew yesterday was was our inexcusable ability to close down the wide man giving him time and space to get the cross in.
Two of our defenders stood and watched as the ball was played across the 6 yard box, this happened twice ! Resulting in us conceding two goals.
Schoolboy defending at it's worst. GRRR!

Both our goals came via that side mate, plus arsenal scored 2 after lukaku was taken off, so god knows how that was a mistake and wenger did nothing different to last season besides having a better cb on the left side
No, our first goal came from a free kick that was worked across the pitch from right to left before being crossed to the back post for Coleman. Lukaku being RW all match played no ostensible role in that.

I have already explained why I think their goals stemmed from something deeper than a supposed defensive howler from one player or another. That is far too simplistic.

Anyone else notice Flamini elbow Nais in the head. Really dirty were arsenal yesterday.
I thought it was a joy how infuriated the arse were with Naisy - proper dirty, snidey, whiney team who hated the fact someone was taking the piss out of them.

Also, I'm in a much better mood today than the final whistle yesterday - there is so much still to be positive about.

Now get the players running up Freshfield sand dunes so that they're not goosed after 45 minutes FFS

Ye mate and he booted naismith on the floor when tangled give naismith his due he was going back for more also some of the arsenal tackles that were going in we're naughty.

Think we missed Ross's energy in the middle collecting the ball and running into their half with it Naismith is good but like been said hasn't the pace nor power to do that ross will be a massive loss against All the top sides we face til he returns.

But Jags and Distin need to take a long hard look at themselves Distin in particular, and That bobby needs to replace Him with a young hungry CB

Their midfield was most AWOL and I agree Ross picking it up and driving it at them would probably have seen them off. Would have helped us retain the ball better when we were just pumping it up to no one. Live and let live though innit? Pick ourselves up and bloody trounce Chelsea and this result, whilst slightly infuriating, is just us fine tuning.
