Tbf, we got battered in the first 30 minutes. It was like every tackle, every bounce of the ball, and every ref decision went against us. Our passing was crap, we could barely move the ball forward before giving it away. The second half was a bit different, apart from the ref who still gave us nothing and booked everyone in blue....

It’s actually impressive how bad we can be at finding another blue shirt at times, even with simple passes. Almost as impressive as how bad at his job Anthony Taylor is...

You could overpay and spend 100M in Jan, it won't matter our ceiling is 7th. Given that Watford is in that spot and the only club playing well in the bottom 13 is actually...uh....no one (West Ham?)? its doable even for this club. So you might as well just see if this current unit can play together.
We need to buy players now ready for next season.

Taylor got the crowd going alright with his awful refereeing. Good welcome win against an impressive difficult to beat Bournemouth, We got our bottle back today in terrible conditions. The rain was incredible, even the Upper Bullens got wet, and the cold wind must have made Richarlison wonder why he came to this country. He stopped his play acting in the second half. Some very good performances especially Lookman, Gomes. Why was he booked Taylor? Seamus still looks shaky I regret to say.

Clubs are loathe to sell in Jan these days so you do pay extra. I wouldn't have any problem w/ in a loan or 2 w/ the option to buy at the end of the season but it seems like clubs don't do that anymore either.

Everyone and his dog know you are wrong. Apart from Fulham and Huddersfield, now is not the time to sign players. Get shut of garbage players like Niasse and Tosun and maybe one or two already on loan and ride out this season before buying anyone. Unless as is very unlikely, a very good striker comes on the market at a reasonable valuation.

Enjoyable second half. (Felt like launching myself off the top balc at halftime).

Best I’ve heard the fans there for ages. Just need a bad decision and it’s great.
Without a shadow of a doubt, Taylor and his officials helped with their absolutely awful decision making from start to finish as it gave the crowd a real cause.

Did the linesmen actually do anything in the game or were they terrified of Taylor? They didn't signal anything bar an offside or two, even when a metre away.

Objectively, I bet Howe is annoyed with some of Taylor's decisions as well, because some of our challenges looked suspect at best and Gomes was very lucky.

However, I don't think the bad decision was the only catalyst as it was the first time, in a long time, the players looked up for it: hard tackles; shouting; the lot.

We've said it copious times but if the players show some grit and determination then the crowd will get behind them and also be much more forgiving.
