I'm happy with the deal for the keeper. We have had an issue with no back up goalkeeper to challenge Pickford since he's joined.

It's clear to me that Virginia and Lossl are just not trusted (clearest indication is that neither were even played against Fleetwood). If all this does if give Carlo someone he can trust to take Pickford's place if need be, then that is better than what we had.

For me I'd be looking to drop Pickford straight away for Olsen based on his performances so far. But I can see Ancelotti giving Pickford a chance to try and up his game now there is, however slight, competition for that position.
