It's not great is it?
Ron Vlaar has to be a target?
Well he's already signed for AZ Alkmaar like 2 weeks ago.

Who wrote that tripe on the front page, dear lord, don't worry about losing Stones Blues, I mean defenders of his caliber grow on trees and we've got them rolling out of the academy. I stopped reading at that point, transfer schmamfer
In full agreement, it's dreadful stuff.
£8m for Naismith, but £10m is sound for Mirallas.
Sounds like he rates Naismith higher than Mirallas as well, good old fashion work rate over skill and technique, welcome to Britain.
Okay, so we all know the quality Vidic HAD but after returning from an injury (just like Vlaar) do we really need an over-paid 34 year old injury prone player? I agree he was quality for Manchester United for a long time, but I have seen way too many flops come to Everton on “Oh they use to be good”. So for me, it’s Vlaar every time.
Notwithstanding Ijjy's valid point about Vlaar signing elsewhere already, the following doesn't actually make any sense
Yeah the whole article is a bit wishy washy and full of not much. He also calls himself a journalist, and we wonder at the state of the rags these days.
You can't guarantee that Pienaar's fitness will last though. He's been close to fitness a few times. It does finally appear as if Pienaar is approaching fitness.
I think that if he were fit the manager would be happy to let Mirallas leave in January without signing a readymade replacement...none will probably be available anyway.
Recent comments from RM makes me think that for the right money both Mirallas and Naismith could be allowed to leave.
They should bring in a combined fee in excess of 15m and for that money you should be able to get some interesting players from the Championship like Dembele at Fulham or Gray at Birmingham.

Very true, but we are not in Europe, we have a large squad anyway when everbody is fit and Pienaar would only be playing a role as a squad player anyway. You can't guarantee that Pienaar's fitness will last though. He's been close to fitness a few times.
