I know you're just posting what you've read somewhere, but as the club just got rid of two old defenders in Distin and Alcaraz I don't see the benefit of a guy like Vidic unless there are prolonged injuries to the top players.

I had the pleasure of witnessing Nick Powell in a Crewe Alex shirt, he's definitely got the raw capability to be a solid EPL player.

He scored some really good goals at Wigan, but believe he had issues with his attitude?

Reckon Martinez could do well with Powell.

No problem Mac, yeah he's a natural goalscorer but I think he's likely to have his pick of a few southern clubs which prefers. I'd have Spurs down as favourites for the spare CL place this season if they managed to get him in January myself.

In fact from their perspective it looks a bit of a no brainier.

I found myself watching Twente at Feyenoord the other day (Sky has the Dutch league for some god known reason. Who knew?!) and Twente got snotted. I'm not sure which one he was but they all looked absolute toilet getting outshone by 94 year old Dirk Kuyt.
