As @bluestevon wrote, he will be free in summer so of course more sense for him to wait till then...or if he leaves in Jan he gets his bonuses from QPR.

Cant go wrong with him based on his goalscoring record....

Were linked to Embolo and also Dembele as well. No smoke without fire.

I'd like any of them to be honest BUT im sure Embolo signing would really boost the teams morale.
We probably are looking for back up strikers but Austin will stay till the summer then get to choose where he wants to go, keep loyalty bonuses and get a nice signing on fee.

Charlie Austin is going to West Ham, 100K plus wages a week and 4 million pound signing on fee. Is what I've been told by a West Ham fan.
I heard he's going to Stoke mate.
Likes their style of play and think they have a better chance of Europe.

Well i was told we had scouts watching Dembele against Brentford (im rarely told anything) and @jinkyali said we were interested as well plus we were linked in the summer.

Embolo its reported we are interested for ages...

Austin no idea.

You don't seriously believe that in terms of transfers do you?!

Personally want Embolo. Massive statement if we got him + could be very good for us competing with Lukaku and also could replace him long term if he ever left.

Dembele would be my second choice, rapid.

Who are the stuttgart guys? They used to have that amazing attacking midfielder in the 90s whose name escapes me...top class...

Embolo has racked up a lot of appearances and would actually compete with Lukaku rather than just be a backup i think...not to say hes on his level of course but potentially amazing.

Well, Williams is from Bilbao, but Didavi is the Stuttgart player. They're struggling in Bundesliga but he's a quality player. Strong, pretty quick and has an eye for a pass and a goal. Would be ideal for that 'Kone' role, imo

So when we eventually sell Stones, who do you want us to replace him with, another defender that will take 7 years to reach the level of a current Ryan Shawcross, who is a formidable defender by the way, and is far more difficult to play against than John Stones.

Stones is already the better player, and suits our system more.

I think Shawcross (and Dann) are both good defenders, but to sell our best player and get two players in who don't fit the system we play...

I haven't mentioned anything about grocks, I've been discussing a defenders ability to manage a ball that has been crossed into the box.

But, let's say that this played out, and we sold Stones next summer for £50mil. You'd want us to spend that money (or some of it, at least) on two defenders who by then would be 29 (Dann) and 28 (Shawcross), and not liable to improve.

While they might be able to defend crosses, they would certainly not be able to play it out from the back as Stones does, which is key to our style. So you say that being able to defend crosses would be the difference, but surely that difference would be negated by having two centre halves who are far from Stones' ability.

Also, Stones is not a bad defender, far from it. He tends to have a moment where he may switch off (e.g. Arsenal) but then again so does Jags and so do Shawcross and Dann. Would much rather have Stones in the side.

And, as a note, why would Stoke and Palace want to sell their two best defenders, and players that are ideally suited to their style?

Inaki williams ive only taken an interest in since we were linked. Cant think who else for LW has been linked.

Embolo/ Dembele up front

Silva / Tielemans / Carvalho midfield

If we sign one or two of them i would be very happy.
