Everton supporters abroad...

Has anybody been watching the cricket test series between South Africa and England? Have you seen the Toffee supporters club in the crowd? They've been travelling with the Barmy Army... They have a huge sign with the Everton insignia on it...

And the boys were quite vociferous today... Glad to see our boys abroad!
And Im sure they'll be 100% behind our team tonight!

Yea, Cricket is an aquired taste... Not for everyone, though, I'm the kind of bloke who could personally go and watch all 5 days of a test match...

I love the sport!

The more interesting (at least for me) fact is that during last Eurobasket, which was actually happening in Poland, last september, there was a group of Everton supporters with the flag, they attended all 3 Great Britain's group games (which was a "death group" for promising GB team btw).

Everton and basketball - even more magical .

We have seen Everton fans abroad before at Intl footy games but never cricket. Must be the cultured end of our supporters.

Well, Im sure baseball is a descendant of cricket...

A lot of the jargon is the same, innings, runs, pinch-hitter, etc...

... missed the Everton supporters, but in a Shanghai pub this Yank watched the South Africa v England cricket test series earlier today with a mixed bag of expats. While not a huge fan of the sport, any excuse for several pints, comradery, and flirting up our local birdies.

my uncle has been using his mates season ticket, who has gone to south africa for the cricket. they go every winter to wherever england go apparently.
