Lautaro: Would be 24--same as DCL/Richarlison-- by the start of next season, which is perfect. He'd be ideal at the tip of a diamond and would be the link to midfield and attack. I dont think he'd be available at £50-55mil though unless Brands pulled a rabbit out of a hat, his value would be more like £80mil even now.
Youre right about Inter needing the money due to their Chinese owners. Notable other players at Inter are Bastoni (CB) who looks to me to be the next great italian defender, Hakimi (LB/RB/LM/RM) who they missed the last payment to Madrid for and Barella (CM) possibly the most underrated midfielder around.
They wont need to sell all of them but those 4 would make us a top 4 side. Without question.
Rabiot: Turns 26 in just over a weeks time and in this world where we sign Lautaro, he'd come in for Gomes on the left central midfield role. Hes someone who can come deep to pick up the ball and can 'break the lines' to pass to Lauraro, DCL or Richarlison...and of course the two full backs bombing on in a diamond. I like Rabiot and he'd probably link well with Digne as he does for France.
Koulibaly: 30 in the summer, same as VVD and probably at the top level for 3 seasons before a decline. Pretty much the 'perfect' centre back for the premier league and he and Godfrey could just stand on the halfway line such is their pace. If he is available at £40mil odd and we could sell Mina or Keane then its a huge jump in quality...Godfrey should also improve with him in the side and hes a really good passer as well.
Add these 3 players + Aarons/Emerson at right back then we'd look like a team built for a diamond or back 3.
On paper, together they look like ideal signings.
