Shame that, conversely I met Rik Mayall in the late 80’s and he was absolutely brilliant. Spent the first couple of minutes as Alan B’stard then stopped for a pint with me and a mate…priceless!

Never met rik mayall but know people who have, all of them said he was very eccentric but a lovely person.

Yeah, I know people who worked on the bottom live shows and they all told me bad things about him but with Vyvyan being one of my childhood heros I didn't believe them.

Then I was doing a show rehearsals for French & Saunders live tour and he was there as he is married to Saunders. The pair of them were absolutely vile.

Dawn French and lenny Henry on the other hand were two of the nicest people I've ever met.
