Iwobi is definitely rubbish but when played wide he’s extra, extra rubbish so I’d love to sign another winger so he’s nowhere near that position again and behind James, Richarlison, new guy, Gray, Townsend for wing choices.

It's a general comment. The match threads for the friendlies were just abysmal.

I can't see us being really good and it isn't even about FSW. We just aren't super talented and don't have anything else going for us that would lead me to think we're going to be anything more than 8-12th. Which is honestly fine if we're enjoyable to watch and have some fun moments. Hopefully we do.
Ha ha ha... Enjoyable to watch, have some fun moments... I love your optimism...

The last few seasons bar the very beginning of last year remind me of that 'soccer' episode of 'The Simpsons'.
I'm guessing as it gets closer to KO this episode will be more relevant than usual.

All fur coat and no knickers, that's us:(:(:(

Nope

Stats aren't amazing like but doesn't mean he's a clown.

Pienaar has similar "stats" for Everton and he was majestic.

Stats don't tell the full story, again wouldn't spend massive on him but he is 10x the player bolasie ever was

Dave called him a clown, as is his want.

He`s exactly the sort of player, we seem to have specialised in buying in recent years.

Little end product, spends as much time in the treatment room, as he does on the pitch and over priced for what he would bring to the team.

But, that`s my opinion and I respect yours too.

I just think we could do loads better for that sort of money and besides we need a right back more than anything else at the mo.

They've strung together like 5 passes there so it couldn't be us under Carlo

They were four points off first place having suffered an away loss to WBA the weekend before Di Matteo got the bullett

Still in with every chance with the right manager but they got Benitez and finished well off (14 points)

Last 5 matches under DiMatteo, WLDDL. They were in a slump and it was only going to get worse. Lost the Charity Shield, Super Cup and Knocked out the Champions League group stage.

Rafael finished 3rd, Semis of the League Cup and FA Cup and Won the Europa League. Roman wanted to give him a 2 year deal and they remain friends to this day, hence why he gave his recommendation to Usmanov.

Didn't Man Utd walk the league that season. They were 4 points off 2nd place Citeh at the end and when Everton played them in December they were in 7th place. A 58.3 win percentage is not shabby. Not all managers can start at a club and hit the ground running and usually takes a few games then a few tweaks. Different opinions on what is good, decent and rubbish. Just got a feeling he will do better than Ancelotti and not let the players get away with lazy lethargic displays. I can do nothing but cross my fingers that he is a success or puts us on a steady footing
