I knew there would be a load of negativity over Adams.

He'll be cheap. He's hungry. He works extremely hard. He's physical. He won't object to being second fiddle on DCL's return to fitness.

Loan with an option strikes me as an excellent opportunity. A much better option than the Swede from Coventry

Don’t know if he’d be cheap though also not sure about Southampton’s squad but don’t know if they’d get rid of another striker, having lost Broja too.

I don’t think he’d be a bad signing to be honest, maybe a bit underwhelming. The deal would have to be very good for it, I’d rather take the punt on the lad from Coventry or Rennes for the same thing we’d pay.

Adams or Gurassiy on loan would be ok, it’s only to deputise for Dom anyway and hopefully he’s back and firing in 6 weeks. No point spending money when we don’t have to.

With the names being mentioned I'm hoping it means more than one. Any of the names mentioned on there are own are really not enough, however a pair of them would be a much better improvement, think the best way is buying the lad from Coventry and getting the other in on loan which seems to be the narrative going with him getting quoted at a price by jounalists whereas Guirassy and Adams have both been touted as loans with options.

Che Adams had better stats that Broja last season at Saints. Not saying I want him mind but as loans go it wouldn't be that dissimilar to getting Broja in that sense. Not sure what their overall impact and influence on the team was like though as I watched very little of them.

If its a purchase though then they become very very different deals altogether.
