Good morning and apologies in advance for this mish mash of rumours and lies. Good luck fellow blues…..

Transfer insider’ Dean Jones has given his verdict on Everton‘s reported interest in Chelsea duo Ross Barkley and Michy Batshuayi. Discussing deals for the aforementioned Blues pair, Jones stated: “Everton are expecting a late flurry of business. So in situations like that you’re going to turn to places where you can strike a deal. So I think both are pretty likely.”

‘Everton target’ Maxwell Cornet is extremely attracted by West Ham option. Wants to play in Europe and that will have a big factor on desicion, West Ham offer of £25 million package also biggest.

Newcastle still in race though but looking decent for hammers (Fraser Fletcher)

According to Het Nieuwsblad and The Athletic, Man City have entered talks with Anderlecht to sign Sergio Gomez.

The Athletic, meanwhile, claim that Everton scouted Gomez ‘extensively’ last season. That is, before opting to bring in Ruben Vinagre alongside Vitaliy Mykolenko.

And while Vinagre’s status as a loan signing may give the impression of a more affordable addition than Gomez, it’s worth pointing out that the purchase clause in his contract stands at £17 million (Record).

Everton manager Frank Lampard could play an important role in the Merseyside club signing Billy Gilmour this summer, believes talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook.

The Chelsea midfielder has been linked with a move to Goodison Park, and Crook thinks the relationship he has with his former boss could go a long way for the Toffees.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are among a number of Premier League clubs battling it out for the signature of Strasbourg forward Ludovic Ajorque.

That’s according to Sky Sports News who state that Everton, Leicester City, West Ham United, Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Newcastle United are all said to be monitoring the 6ft 6in Frenchman.

Everton have not yet thrashed out a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for midfielder Idrissa Gueye, though they are closing in on him, according to Sky Sports

Gueye is keen to return to Everton, who he left for PSG in 2019, and the deal has been tipped to go through, with suggestions that it was all but done.

The midfielder has not had a medical yet and the deal still needs work to push it over the line. It has been suggested that Gueye wants a three-year contract at Everton, while the Toffees are looking to give him a two-year deal due to his age.
