Yeah signing Winks makes much more sense when you have Gueye in there doing more of the dirty work. There are other potential signings that would be more exciting but Winks would be a perfectly decent use of a loan if none are attainable.

We want the loan but not the obligation to buy at 20+ mil which spurs are insisting on because he has 2 years left on his contract

Big injury issues last year though so it’s a gamble. If Sampdoria are taking a knock down price it’s a bit of a red flag.

If Damsgaard works out it’s a great signing but I’d say a big risk is exactly what it is when you read about his issues. Aggressive arthritis sounds somewhat troubling even if it’s responded to treatment.

Didn’t know about that. It may be that they took a risk with Eriksen and fancy their chances again.
