Replacing DCL ?

No point signing another centre forward unless we sign some midfielders who actually create chances. We’ll have DCL and Broja stood upfront feeding off scraps. Sign some midfielders who can pass, create and support the attackers!!!

Broja went from playing pretty much every game last season to a backup here, makes zero sense for the lad.

…I’d see Broja as more a DCL type than Richarlison. Not sure Broja and DCL would play in the same team.

Part of me half feels like saying 'f' it let's sign LGW, Zinchenko, Gallacher, play Gordon, Dele and DCL and go full Kevin Keegan at Newcastle approach

One of our biggest problems as a team is keeping possession so Broja really would fit right in as he loses the ball constantly.

Definitely has a bit about him tho and he’s only going to improve but I’d see it as a massive risk to be relying on him this season.

Agree, defo a striker but Gives us a 442 option at least & decent rotation and options against different teams.

…but if we are being more frugal, then that sort of monies will surely go on a Richarlison replacement.

Can play wide as part of a front three, him and dennis would give us alot better options in the squad.

Leeds are losing two of their best players.
Their replacements are untried in this league and carry a higher level of risk.

Every player that comes to the league has the same risk, we need to start being the club that brings them in first asap.

Potentially, but if DCL stayed fully fit it'd be less than he had at saints mate.

Just don't see it as a serious link given finances, needs etc unless DCL was off.

Every player that comes to the league has the same risk, we need to start being the club that brings them in first asap.

With our current scouting and recruitment setup over the past 20+ years mate I don't want us touching the foreign markets until we completely overhaul the scouting network.

It's been an unmitigated disaster even when we had good recruitment under Moyes the fails where invariably the imports (Arteta had played in Scotland so not counting him)


Kroldrup, Marvin gaye, linderoth, vdm, Drenthe, all absolutely dreadful despite all bring either highly rated at one point
