He's that wrecked confidence wise (maybe even physically who knows) that we shouldn't go near him, we can't be a last chance for once good players to try to come good again in their late twenties.
Felt like he was everywhere on the pitch for Leeds under Bielsa

That doesn’t really translate to playing for City so it was a big error from Pep

Provided his wages aren’t ridiculous I’d be willing to take a loan punt on Philips.

He may flourish as part of Dyche’s island of misfit toys.

He's on 150k PW, when city loaned him to west ham in January they demanded a fee and that west ham covered his entire wages, I seriously doubt they are gonna be paying much if any of his wages mate.

Aye some players get that big move and that's it for them, for whatever reason.

Remember Guardiola having a go at him about his physical condition - he got fat basically.

Just one we should avoid imo

Isn't he more of an attacking midfielder? Hardly Onana cover.

The press are having a field day with him for some reason too.

Seems like he’s being singled out for a lot of stick, rather than supported and helped back to form.

Their fans not happy with him either, some saying he’s one of their worst ever signings.

He seemed a decent player at Leeds but has dramatically regressed at City, I suppose only he can say why.

I’m not sure he’s worth the risk but this is Thelwell we are talking about
