My take on that report is come 30-June his contract with us expires and so will any payment ties to Spurs.
Speaks about extensions to (current) contract, that is very different to a new and separate contract with a free agent.
certainly hope that’s the case as I fear we will be offering him a new one.
Not sure how Spurs could tie us to a payment for a free agent imo.

Please no. No sentiment. Just let him go about his life elsewhere. Never wanted to be Everton / Merseyside legend. Watched Spurs more.

I think if we sold Beto he would be a good replacement from the bench. Also Ndidi would strengthen options in the middle
