For anyone looking for a good read, I’m on a book about footie in the 80s at the mo called Go to War and it has a great chapter on us in it called “The Revivalists”-

The author interviewed Howard before he died and it has some good new quotes and takes in there. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him directly quoted before as saying that his clear intention was to have Lineker AND Andy Gray for the 85/86 season and it was only when the club produced a revised income stream projection after the European ban was upheld that he realised he’d actually have to let one forward go.

Tricky one this. Dont think players shouldn't be able to wear their hair however they want, needs looking at somehow though. A few of those hair pull reds this season and none have been intentional.
