Gonna make myself sound like a right arlarse here but anyway...
The use of the dollar sign on this Fan Token cobblers does my head in.
We're an English club. I know we've got Yank owners but we're located in England, we play in an English league, and we use English currency when we're forking out for our seats, shirts, crap beer, blue doughnuts and all that.
You could, at a push, argue that they could have used a Euro sign, as everyone looks at the Champions League as the be all and end all of commercial footy success in Europe, not least because it brings in massive wedge, as West Ham can prove.
What's worse is that until very recently, footy was a game reserved for girls in the Freidkin's home country, and they're about to wreck the World Cup for everyone else by locking up all the foreign players who turn up there and taking their kids away.
But this is the modern game. Plough enough dosh into a club and you can steamroller over the actual culture of the sport and carry on murdering journalists instead of punching horses until your heart's content.
