Interesting that a few times the WBA fans have mentioned him being hotheaded or trying to pick fights with opponents. Didn't really see too much of that side of him for us - I wonder if it is a sign of increased confidence that he belongs in a team (or an instruction from his current management team that they want to see more aggression from him)?
I certainly seem to remember him being a bit angry at times for us, “ accidentally nudging” Firmino into the crowd, and he got a red card for the U23s this season for a 2nd bookable offence. No bad thing a bit of aggression as long as it’s controlled

hopefully its not just a case of him thinking hes too big for the league and giving it the biggun, like to that lad the other week "ive never heard of you your crap" or whatever he said

I actually think it's one of his biggest failings as a centre half, and has caused him a lot of problems playing for us. He gets drawn into running battles with strikers every time he plays there, it's like he's desperate to prove he can handle himself and so he starts throwing his weight around. The problem is he's usually up against people who are bigger and stronger than him, and so it backfires massively.

....with a possibility they are directly up against each other. Saying that, I don’t think Dowell started the last game.

Yes he was on the bench but their manager rested 3 or 4 that usually start. Fully expect him to be back in starting 11 for a big game like that tmrw

...he got all the plaudits before that playing Left wing back. Ironically, i’ve never seen him play on the left despite having that lovely left foot. Here’s hoping they are in direct opposition, it’ll be a brilliant watch.
