Everton Players - Last 15 Years

All about opinions on this.

Cahill and Duncan are legends for me because of what they meant to me and what they meant to Everton.

Duncan for my age group was a beacon of hope during a torrid time, he didn't give a sh1te. That day when he walked out 2 the crowd before the City game, I really wanted him on that pitch, I love how when we played the RS he called Carralar and Gerrard 'little [Poor language removed]' and got in their face.

Cahill 'got it' and is the first player since Duncan for me who had that similar attitude. Both legends of this club for me, as I say because of what they meant to me.

Agree that the word 'legend' is banded about to much because Soccer AM think its a boss word. Also understand if lids regard them more as icons too

Let's discuss Legends of GOT.

Dylan - Dixie Dean status
Danny - Brian Labone status
Chico - Jo status

For the record, I think I'm more likely to tell stories about Hibbert to the next generation then about Cahill.

That time Malouda tore him to shreads in a cup final is something that will stick with me till I die. And if he ever scores a goal I doubt I'd ever forget that either.

Legend, hero...whatever you want to call him. What I do know is it'll probably be quite a while before we see a 5'7" midfielder lead the line and score as a f*cking target man for this club.

If any of us owe him anything, it's respect.

This.

It seems to be the older lads (say, post 30 or thereabouts) who have witnessed us when we were boss, saying they don't regard him as one. Time and rose tinted glasses go together perfectly, I think in 20 years when the next 'Cahill' comes along they'll be like 'he's no Cahill he was boss larrr'. Could be wrong like.
