Everton’s Ross Barkley reports for training despite attack in city-centre bar via The Guardian

• Midfielder was not concussed and is available for Burnley game
• Merseyside Police investigating video footage which emerged online
Ross Barkley escaped serious injury and trained as normal with Everton on Monday after being attacked in a Liverpool city centre bar following the team’s win over Leicester City on Sunday.

Merseyside police is investigating video footage from Santa Chupitos cocktail bar that shows Barkley being punched in the face during the early hours of Monday morning. The England midfielder can be seen on CCTV talking to an unidentified man who suddenly launches an unprovoked attack, flooring Barkley with one of several punches aimed at the Everton player before being dragged away.

Out on Loan – EFC’s Younger Players 09.04.17 via GrandOldTeam

atrottel provides his weekly round up of Everton players out on loan.

Gethin Jones had an uneventful match as Barnsley returned to form with a win over Blackburn.

Oxford fan favourite Conor McAleny followed up his full game in midweek with another active performance, although he faded in the second half.

Calum Dyson had a full 90 minutes run-out as Grimsby cruised to victory at Blackpool.

Anthony Evans started for Morecambe but was substituted in the 66th minute.

As usual by this point in the season, players injured, recovering from injury or not figuring in managers’ plans make up a list of inactives:

Brendan Galloway (WBA – not in squad)
Russell Griffiths (Motherwell – unused sub)
Callum Connolly (Wigan – unused sub)
Tyias Browning (Preston – knee injury)
Conor Grant (Doncaster – unused sub)
Shani Tarashaj (Frankfurt – not in squad)
