Ronald Koeman has said Yannick Bolasie’s season-ending injury has increased the pressure on Everton to find alternatives in the January transfer window.
Bolasie, Everton’s most expensive summer signing at an initial £25m, will miss the rest of the campaign after
damaging his cruciate ligament in Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United. Koeman was already on the look-out for January improvements amid concern at his team’s lack of productivity in the final third, with United’s Memphis Depay and Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini among the potential targets. And he admits Bolasie’s absence means it is essential Everton find a solution when the transfer window reopens.
