I'm not getting why a betting firm is worse than an alcohol firm.

Both are open to abuse.

I like a drink btw, I'm just happy it's not a payday loan company.

People have their own reasons I suppose and I actually agree in principle.

What I would suggest though is, if anyone is looking to get a feel for this company's level of 'professionalism', is have a look at the quality of their website (and copy therein).

The new partnership with the Blues is at the heart of SportPesa’s ongoing global expansion and includes their recent investment in a new European HQ on Liverpool’s world-famous waterfront, beating off competition from London, Manchester and Madrid. The investment in Everton and the city of Liverpool signifies SportPesa’s commitment to the Liverpool region and will see the creation of more than 70 jobs.

Not really clear is it....

It was announced they were taking space in The Liver Building a while ago

Why not 3 years instead of 5, if we'll be well on the up by then?

Still seems to me that they decided to swim in the pool of sponsors already available, and did not do enough pro-actively to attract better.

I hope that this isn't the approach taken with signings for the summer.

Wonder if they bumped up the sponsorship and gave a lower rent on the office space in the Liver

Putting 2 and 2 together....

If the Chang deal was £16m over 3 years ....

... and the increase is 300%...

then the deal is £16m per year

...or £80m over 5 years.

I have personal reasons why I am against it. Same as I would have sympathy for anyone who is an alcoholic not wanting chang on the front. There should be an option for adults to buy the shirt with no sponsor on.
