SportsPesa is a "gaming" company apparently. Apparently we are too stupid or naive to think gaming is better than betting

Well that was the worst kept secret ever.

For a club that has 'tightened up its leaks significantly... virtually nothing gets out anymore...' we've heard, all well before the club announced it:

  • The Dock site
  • Bolasie joining info from a Croydon newspaper
  • Williams from a Swansea newspaper
  • SportsPesa from a gajillion places
  • USM Finch Farm from a newspaper article

Oh dear

5 years?!?

He revealed that in the past two months, new revenues totalling £75million have been secured, including a significant new title sponsor for the Finch Farm training ground and Academy. It is also expected that the value of the Club’s shirt sponsors will increase by 300 per cent.

USM Finch Farm deal is inital 5 year.

Chang was a 3 year extension for a 'total of £16m'

So since there doesn't look like to be a sleeve sponsor are we looking at ~£10 per season for shirt and £5m for finch farm? If you go by the 300% increase for shirt sponsor(s).

Well, renting office space, not building.

The new partnership with the Blues is at the heart of SportPesa’s ongoing global expansion and includes their recent investment in a new European HQ on Liverpool’s world-famous waterfront, beating off competition from London, Manchester and Madrid. The investment in Everton and the city of Liverpool signifies SportPesa’s commitment to the Liverpool region and will see the creation of more than 70 jobs.

Not really clear is it....

I'm not getting why a betting firm is worse than an alcohol firm.

Both are open to abuse.

I like a drink btw, I'm just happy it's not a payday loan company.

Short answer

Because it gives some people the opportunity to fume on the internet about it

In all honesty, the only thing that really matters is the value of the deal
