I say get him and rotate with Dowell. Both are young so rotating could be good for both.

Vlasic was being tracked earlier than that, but the point is still a good one. What if Maddison is just a lot better than these guys? If Siggy goes down, who steps into that pivot/10 role? It’s a critical role for Silva’s tactics. Davies? Not sure he’s the right fit there.

Dowell can be used sparingly over the season and does'nt need to play 38 games or more Vlasic has had a stop/start season and done alright on both right and left wings when given minutes so why not let him play like he did for former team Would rather rotate the 2 lads we already have than over spend and add more wages to already bloated squad! We've Dowell, Vlasic and Lookman as "potential" players for us so we need to use them or we'll eventually lose them as they'll see their not getting opportunities to play

This lad played a lot of games in the Championship last year and has a strong highlight reel as a result. Dowell played half a season for Forest and also had some pretty strong highlights, Vlasic played sparingly in the EPL and has few highlights. This doesn't mean their seasons are comparable. Vlasic was played as a winger which seems the default position for a skillful player under any of the English prehistoric coaches. In the Silva system it seems there are 3 MF slots and 2 wingers. Wingers like Walcott and Bolasie not like Siggurdsson and Vlasic.... the focus is much more on creative attacking than we are used to, sadly.
the 3 MF slots would include some permutation of; 1 Holding , deep passer, 1 energetic box-to-box, 1 creative number ten. Of course as games dictate there can be more emphasis in one area over another. So the likes of Maddison fit under the creative player, as does Sigurdsson, Vlasic and Dowell.
given that we have 3 players able to play that position and possibly even Klassen too, if desperate, we really do not need another...
I liked the highlight reel for sure, but the needs are elsewhere unless we want to maintain a 38 man squad with 3-4 depth for every position.
Lets see what Silva can get out of Sigurdsson, Vlasic, Klassen and Dowell and keep the cash for the back four or a Schniederlin replacement.

I’ve seen us win leagues cups and have success in Europe.
I’m 58 now and Unless Usmanov or some other multi billionaire steps up I can’t see us winning the league in the next 30 years
